Whereas it is critical for the immediate and long-term safety of the Commonwealth to allow previously appointed troopers to return to service with the Department of Kentucky State Police, an emergency is declared to exist, and this Act Page 1 of 2 SB010220.100 - 1390 - XXXX 3/31/2026 2:46 PM Engrossed UNOFFICIAL COPY 26 RS SB 102/EN takes effect upon its passage and approval by the Governor or upon its otherwise becoming a law.
