On any highway of four (4) lanes or more, a person shall not operate a motor vehicle in the leftmost lane at a speed lower than the posted speed limit, except when: (a) Overtaking a slower vehicle; (b) Yielding to traffic coming onto the highway; (c) Preparing to make a left turn at an intersection or into a private drive or roadway; or (d) Traffic or road conditions exist which would prohibit safe use of the right or center lanes.
This adds a requirement for drivers on multi-lane highways to maintain the posted speed limit in the leftmost lane under most circumstances.
