The updated version of SB 145 allows caterers to obtain a primary license to sell alcohol at their designated banquet halls, even if those venues also operate as restaurants. Previously, licenses could not be issued for premises that served as restaurants. This change is significant because it expands the ability of caterers to sell alcohol at more venues, potentially boosting their business and providing greater options for clients who wish to serve alcohol at catered events.
