Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill HB 49 emphasizes the creation of a dedicated scholarship fund aimed at supporting Kentucky residents who want to pursue careers in professional engineering and land surveying. The changes clarify the purpose and administration of the scholarship fund, ensuring that unspent funds can be carried over into future fiscal years, which helps maintain financial support for students over time. This is important as it addresses the state's workforce needs in these vital professions and encourages local talent development, ultimately strengthening Kentucky's engineering and surveying sectors.
