Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 305 introduces new rules regarding grand jury proceedings, making it illegal for anyone present to record or disclose any evidence or testimony from those proceedings. Additionally, it outlines specific penalties for violations: anyone who records testimony will face a Class A misdemeanor charge, while those who disclose information will be charged with a Class D felony. This change is significant because it reinforces the confidentiality of grand jury proceedings, aiming to protect sensitive information and maintain the integrity of the judicial process.
