The recent amendments to SB 78 now require postsecondary educational institutions in Kansas to regularly review and update their accreditation policies. It also explicitly prohibits accrediting agencies from forcing these institutions to break state laws. This change is important because it empowers schools to maintain compliance with state regulations while seeking proper accreditation, ensuring that educational institutions can operate without external pressure to compromise legal standards.
