In the latest version of SB 344, a few key changes have been made regarding how animal shelters handle certain animals. Shelters are now required to move sick or young animals that need care to foster homes if they cannot provide the necessary treatment themselves. Additionally, shelters must display photos of animals in locations outside the shelter during their holding period, allowing more visibility for potential adopters. These changes aim to improve the care and visibility of animals in shelters, ensuring they get proper treatment and have a better chance of finding new homes.
