Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill HF 2513 expand the scope of the employment prohibition to include community colleges alongside regents institutions. Additionally, the updated bill specifies that it applies to citizens of foreign adversaries and state sponsors of terrorism holding certain visas, particularly the valid H-1B visa. This change is significant because it broadens the impact of the law, ensuring that more educational institutions are prohibited from hiring individuals from countries considered adversarial or sponsors of terrorism, reflecting heightened national security concerns.
