Plain-language change summary

The updated version of House File 2485 clarifies that motor vehicle dealers will have the right to claim vehicles if their title is correctly assigned to an entity that they own or control. Additionally, it establishes requirements for dealers to store records at their business locations and to provide both electronic and physical records to the state within specified timeframes. These changes aim to streamline record-keeping procedures and ensure better oversight of vehicle transactions, which could lead to more accountability within the motor vehicle dealership industry.
