Plain-language change summary

The latest amendment to Senate File 2439 changes the proposed regulation concerning fire protection sprinkler systems in single-family homes. Previously, the bill applied to groups of attached single-family residences of up to 18,000 square feet, but the amendment now limits the scope to individual detached single-family homes of 6,500 square feet or less. This shift aims to reduce the requirements for homeowners, making it easier to construct smaller homes without the added cost of installing sprinkler systems.
