Plain-language change summary

The amended version of House File 932 clarifies that when a court decides not to grant joint custody, it must provide detailed reasons for that decision. Additionally, it emphasizes that even if only one parent is given physical care of the child, that parent must still support the child's relationship with the other parent. This change is important as it ensures transparency in custody decisions and encourages cooperation between parents for the child's well-being.
