Plain-language change summary

The amendments to House File 2680 streamline the certification process for medication aides by clarifying that individuals who pass certain examinations won't face additional certification requirements, such as needing prior employment in the state. Additionally, the bill establishes a medication aide certification registry on the department's website without charging any fees for submitting or accessing proof of certification completion. These changes aim to make it easier for qualified individuals to become certified medication aides, thereby addressing workforce needs in the healthcare sector.
