Plain-language change summary

The changes to Senate File 573 clarify that an insured person cannot transfer their duties or rights under their insurance policy to anyone else when it comes to motor vehicle glass repair or replacement. However, the insured can still direct payments for services or materials covered by the policy. This matters because it helps ensure that insurance claims are handled directly by the policyholder, possibly reducing fraud and ensuring clarity in the repair process.
