Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Senate File 2369 includes a new provision that requires manufactured homes or mobile homes used as accessory dwelling units to be placed on a permanent foundation and classified as real property for tax purposes. Additionally, the bill clarifies the definition of "size" by specifying that it refers to the gross living area of the primary dwelling, excluding garages, decks, and unheated porches. These changes are intended to ensure consistency in how accessory dwelling units are regulated and taxed, which could make it easier for communities to manage housing options.
