Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to House File 615 clarify and tighten the language surrounding the offense of intentionally misrepresenting an animal as a service animal or service-animal-in-training. The changes aim to clearly define the offense and ensure that it applies specifically to the actions of individuals who falsely claim their animals are service animals. This is significant because it helps protect the rights of people who genuinely need service animals, while also providing clear guidelines for enforcement against those who misuse this important designation.
