Plain-language change summary

The amendment to SB 1698 changes the authority for executing the quitclaim deed from the Director of Central Management Services to the Director of Corrections. This shift matters because it indicates that the Department of Corrections will oversee the property transfer to the Forest Preserve District of Will County. Additionally, the amendment clarifies the specific terms of the property description involved in the transfer and allows for potential changes if agreed upon by both parties. Overall, this adjustment may streamline the process of transferring the land, benefiting local conservation efforts.
