Plain-language change summary

The latest version of SB 2280 changes how frequently the Office of Firearm Violence Prevention will report to the General Assembly. Instead of a bi-annual report, they are now required to provide an annual report detailing areas most affected by gun violence, as well as recommendations for funding and initiatives. This change is significant because it ensures more regular updates on gun violence issues, allowing for timely adjustments and actions to address the ongoing epidemic in Illinois.
