The legislation SB 3722 updates references to certain divisions within the Department of Human Services. It replaces mentions of the Division of Mental Health and the Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery with the new Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery across various laws. This change is significant as it reflects a shift in focus towards a more integrated approach to mental health and substance use services, potentially improving the coordination of care for individuals seeking help.
