3 changes Share ↗

Compared against the Illinois Compiled Statutes as published AI-generated reading aid — verify against the official bill.

The bill modifies the requirements for receiving disability license plates and parking decals, including changing the certification process and extending certain privileges.

  • 625 ILCS 5/3-616

by a licensed physician, by a licensed physician assistant, by a licensed advanced practice registered nurse, or by a licensed physical therapist → by a licensed physician, by a licensed physician assistant, or by a licensed advanced practice registered nurse, or by a licensed physical therapist

It removes the redundancy of listing 'by a licensed physician' multiple times.

  • 625 ILCS 5/3-616

on his or her motor vehicle, and to recognize such plates or devices issued by such other jurisdictions. → or parking device that contains the International symbol of access on his or her motor vehicle, and to recognize such plates or devices issued by such other jurisdictions.

It clarifies that both special license plates and parking devices with the international symbol of access are recognized.

  • 625 ILCS 5/3-616

shall require certification of that permanent disability every 5 years by submitting to the Secretary a statement, certified by a licensed medical professional → shall require certification of that permanent disability every 5 years

It simplifies the language regarding certification requirements for individuals with permanent disabilities.
