Plain-language change summary

The amendment to HB 246 changes the total appropriation for the climate resilience grant program from $100,000 over two years to $50,000 per year, with $50,000 allocated to the fiscal year 2026 and $50,000 to fiscal year 2027. It also moves the effective date from July 1, 2025, to 60 days after passage.
