Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to HB 3699 include a provision that requires health insurance policies to cover medically necessary prescribed vitamins starting January 1, 2027. Previously, these vitamins were not included, which meant many individuals might not have had coverage for important supplements prescribed by their doctors. This change is significant because it enhances healthcare access and can potentially improve health outcomes for people who need these vitamins as part of their treatment.
