In the latest version of HB 3370, a significant change has been made to the process of handling petitions related to domestic violence cases. Specifically, the bill now ensures that petitions cannot be made public until they have been formally served to the respondent or their legal counsel. This change is important because it helps protect the privacy of individuals involved in these sensitive situations, potentially reducing the risk of further harm or public stigma before the legal process unfolds.
