(1) "Discriminatory hiring" means granting a preference or imposing a disadvantage in employment or contracting based on race, sex, sexual orien- tation, gender identity, or national origin, except as expressly required by federal law.

LIMITATIONS.
It shall not be a violation of the provisions of this chapter for an employer to employ an employee on the basis of sex if sex is an occupational qualification reasonably necessary to the normal opera- tion of the business or enterprise.
