The updated version of the resolution adds a specific emergency declaration to continue protections against foreclosure for homeowners who applied to the DC Homeowner Assistance Fund before September 30, 2022, and whose applications are still being processed. It emphasizes the importance of notifying these homeowners about their assistance status before any foreclosure actions are taken. This change is critical because it aims to prevent homeowners from losing their homes during a time when their funding applications have not yet been resolved.
