Plain-language change summary

The new version of the bill clarifies that there are errors in the timeline for sealing nonconvictions under the Second Chance Amendment Act of 2022. Specifically, it corrects two drafting mistakes that would have unintentionally advanced the timelines for certain provisions by over two years. This change is important because it ensures that the law functions as intended, maintaining clarity around when records can be sealed and helping people with nonconvictions move forward in life without unnecessary delays.
