The amendments to the bill clarify that the resolution aims to provide up to $25 million in revenue bonds specifically for the Society for Science and the Public, which will help with their real estate project at 1776 Massachusetts Avenue in Washington, DC. Additionally, it emphasizes that the bonds will be issued without putting any financial burden on the District government, ensuring that taxpayers are not responsible for repaying the bonds. This matters because it allows for critical funding while protecting the city's finances.
