Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to the D.C. Rental Housing Act clarifies that rental units benefiting from the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program are exempt from the Rent Stabilization Program. This change is important as it helps ensure that landlords who participate in this program are not subject to additional rent controls, allowing them to manage their properties more effectively. Additionally, the act's citation has been updated to reflect the year 2026 instead of 2025, indicating its current legislative status.
