Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to the bill PR 26-0264 involve the removal of a letter from Mayor Muriel Bowser that originally nominated Sim Singh Attariwala for the Commission on Human Rights. The key adjustment includes directly stating that the Council confirms Attariwala's appointment without referencing the nomination process in detail. This simplification matters because it streamlines the confirmation resolution and focuses on the decision itself, making it clearer for the public how the Council is proceeding with important appointments.
