Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to HB 1296 establish clearer rules for advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) regarding the timely completion of death certificates. Specifically, it states that if an APRN fails repeatedly or willfully to comply with these requirements, they can face disciplinary action. This change is important because it holds APRNs accountable for their documentation duties, ensuring that death records are completed accurately and on time, which can affect public health data and services.
