The Act forbids the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services to adopt or enforce any rule, regulation or standard that is more stringent than any federal occupational health and safety rule, regulation or standard adopted under the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act. Becomes operative on December 1, 2026, or 60 days after the date on which the United States Secretary of Labor approves the withdrawal of the state plan. Declares an emergency, effective on passage.
