Plain-language change summary

The revisions to Senate Bill 1236 shifted its focus from addressing government data security procedures to enhancing water storage regulations, particularly involving stormwater management. The bill now permits the storage of stormwater in underground facilities to help replenish aquifers, which is crucial for sustainable water use in Arizona. This change is significant because it highlights the state's proactive approach to managing water resources in response to increasing drought concerns. By allowing stormwater to be stored and recycled, the legislation aims to improve water availability for the community.
