Plain-language change summary

The amended version of HB 2058 changes the focus from school immunizations for younger students to include specifically the requirements for adult students in higher education. It now states that colleges must inform students about immunization requirements and allow those aged 18 and older to opt out by providing a signed statement regarding their personal beliefs and understanding of immunization risks. This matters because it addresses the growing population of adult learners and ensures they are aware of their options regarding immunizations, promoting informed choice while still aiming to maintain health standards in educational settings.
