The latest version of HB 2630 now includes a provision that allows individuals who are nominated for a position within a state agency to also work as independent contractors for that agency. This change broadens the eligibility of nominees by not only considering their potential employment as full-time staff but also enabling them to take on contract roles. This addition matters because it can help fill necessary positions within agencies more flexibly and efficiently.
