Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to House Bill 2919 involve specific amendments related to school funding for the fiscal year 2025-2026. The bill now allows for the reduction of state aid given to school districts based on their cash balances at the end of June 2024, giving districts the flexibility to use these funds more effectively. This is significant because it aims to ensure that funds are being utilized efficiently while addressing potential budget shortfalls in the future.
