Plain-language change summary

In the latest version of Senate Bill 1660, a new member is added to the sex offender management board who represents the Department of Economic Security and has expertise in child welfare. Additionally, the previous requirement for three experts in sexual abuse and victims' rights has been removed. These changes help streamline the board's composition and emphasize the importance of child welfare expertise in managing sex offender treatment and oversight. This adjustment could potentially lead to more effective handling of cases involving juveniles who have committed sexual offenses.
