Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill SB 1291 adds details about including a credentialing system operated by a dental services corporation, which clarifies how health plans will manage provider qualifications. Additionally, it specifies what a "participating provider" is, ensuring only those contracted and credentialed can offer services under the insurer's networks. These changes matter because they aim to enhance the efficiency and reliability of health care provider qualifications, ultimately improving patient care and administration in the health insurance system.
