The recent amendment to Senate Bill 1591 changed the title and removed the names of the senators who sponsored the bill. This means the focus is now solely on the issue of concealed weapons permits and the associated fees without naming specific legislators. This matters because it simplifies the presentation of the bill and allows the discussion to concentrate on the policy rather than the individuals involved.
