Plain-language change summary

The new version of SB 1501 requires the Commission to carry out an annual grid security review instead of just once every two years. This review will now focus on evaluating advanced technologies for electricity management and ensuring systems are in place to guard against physical and cyber threats, as well as risks from electromagnetic pulses. By increasing the frequency of the reviews and expanding their scope, this change aims to enhance the reliability and security of the state's electricity supply, ultimately benefiting consumers and protecting critical infrastructure.
