Plain-language change summary

The revised version of HB 2801 changes the way members of the technology study committee for assistive technology are appointed; they will now be chosen by the president of the senate and the speaker of the house instead of being appointed by the governor. Additionally, it specifies the roles and affiliations of the members in more detail, including adding representatives from various organizations involved in disability services. This change is important because it may lead to more diverse input from stakeholders in the field, ensuring that the committee better addresses the needs of those requiring assistive technology.
