The amended version of Bill SB 1111 now focuses on imposing a fee for foreign wire transmissions initiated by individuals. Specifically, it establishes a $25 fee for transactions under $500, and a fee of $25 plus 5% for amounts over $500. This change is significant because it aims to create a new source of revenue for the state, while also establishing a framework for how these fees are administered and collected. The previous content of the bill, which concerned nonhealth regulatory boards, has been removed entirely.
