The revised version of SB 1054 now specifically allows assisted living homes to offer "mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy" rather than just "hyperbaric oxygen therapy." This change includes requirements for physician orders and ensures that trained staff are present when the therapy is administered. These updates are important because they help ensure that the therapy is safely provided under medical supervision, increasing the safety and well-being of residents.
