Plain-language change summary

The revised bill, HB 2894, has expanded the criteria for issuing a Silver SEEK AND FIND alert to include a broader range of missing persons. Previously, alerts were limited to individuals 65 years or older or those with developmental disabilities, but now the alert can be issued regardless of age if the person has a cognitive disability, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia. This change is significant because it aims to enhance the safety and quick recovery of vulnerable individuals who may be at risk, reflecting the urgent need to respond swiftly to all cases of potential danger, not just those limited by age.
