Plain-language change summary

The amendments to House Bill 2169 clarify the process for school district governing boards when it comes to approving travel expenses. The key changes include requiring that a majority vote must take place in a public meeting before the proposed travel, and it specifies that the designated location for board members' travel expenses is their home address rather than the district office. These adjustments aim to enhance accountability and transparency in how school districts manage travel expenditures, ensuring that costs are properly reviewed and justified before being incurred.
