Plain-language change summary

In the latest revision of House Bill 2192, the funding for Interstate 10 improvements was increased from $30 million to $40 million. Additionally, the total appropriated amount from the state general fund rose from $78 million to $93 million, reflecting a significant increase in financial commitment. The bill now mandates that the Department of Transportation use a specific bidding method for construction, which may lead to better project management and cost control. These changes are important as they provide more resources for a major transportation project and clarify how the project will be managed.
