Plain-language change summary

The amendments to HB 2695 clarify the process for filing an affidavit related to the state's address confidentiality program. Specifically, it now emphasizes that certain eligible public service professionals, like peace officers and prosecutors, must submit their affidavit to a supervising authority rather than directly to the court. This change aims to streamline the process and reduce the chances of individuals filing multiple affidavits, which can help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the program designed to protect sensitive addresses.
