What changed in the latest version
71 added · 35 removedPlain-language change summary
In the latest version of SB 198, the bill now adjusts the percentage of premium costs that retirees eligible for Medicare must pay based on their years of service. Specifically, the major change is that instead of paying 15% if they have 25 to 30 years of service, they will now pay 10% if they have 25 or more years of service. This change is significant because it reduces the financial burden for long-serving retirees, making healthcare more affordable for those who have dedicated many years to their public service careers.
