Plain-language change summary

The bill has shifted focus from "grooming" to "child enticement," which specifically addresses using electronic communication to lure minors into sharing inappropriate images or committing offenses related to sexual abuse. The age difference allowed for consensual conduct was reduced from three years to two years, tightening the criteria for what is considered acceptable. This change is important because it aims to strengthen protections for minors by clarifying and expanding the circumstances under which someone can be charged with child enticement, thereby enhancing accountability for potential predators.
