Plain-language change summary

The revised version of SB 1084 includes an appropriation of $50 million instead of the previously proposed $200 million for the Arizona health innovation trust fund for the fiscal year 2023-2024. Additionally, the intent expressed in the bill is to grow the trust fund to maintain a permanent endowment balance of at least $200 million in the future. This change matters because it reduces the immediate financial commitment by the state while still aiming for a significant long-term investment in health innovation.
