Laws 2023, chapter 133, section 117 is amended to read:
Sec.
117.
state treasurer;
Arizona criminal justice commission A.
firearm training simulators;
The following amounts in the following fiscal years are appropriated from the state general fund to the Arizona criminal justice commission to implement and maintain the state, county and municipal open data system and to create the necessary reporting mechanisms for criminal justice agencies to report data into the system:
fiscal year 2023-2024 A.
The sum of $1,368,000 is appropriated from the peace officer training equipment fund established by section 41-1731, Arizona Revised Statutes, in fiscal year 2023-2024 to the state treasurer for firearm training simulators.
THE FIREARM TRAINING SIMULATORS MUST INCLUDE:
AN ELECTRONIC IMPULSE DEVICE USING A SAFE ELECTRIC SHOCK TO SIMULATE CONSEQUENCES DURING SCREEN-BASED SIMULATION TRAINING.
$4,700,000 in fiscal year 2023-2024.
PRELOADED CURRICULUM AND INTERACTIVE VIRTUAL COURSEWORK THAT IS CERTIFIED BY THE ARIZONA PEACE OFFICER STANDARDS AND TRAINING BOARD ESTABLISHED BY SECTION 41-1821, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES, AND HAS BEEN DEVELOPED EXCLUSIVELY WITH NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED PARTNERSHIPS.
$4,800,000 in fiscal year 2024-2025.
B.
The state treasurer shall distribute the monies appropriated in subsection A of this section in the following amounts to the following recipients:
1.
$300,000 to the Phoenix police department.
2.
$300,000 to the Mohave county probation department.
$138,000 to the Casa Grande police department.
$4,800,000 in fiscal year 2025-2026.
