The recent amendments to Bill SB 1433 remove all specific references to COVID-19 and broaden the definition of "vaccination" to include any vaccine that receives emergency use authorization. This means that the liability protections for employers who mandate vaccinations will now apply to a wider range of vaccines, not just those related to COVID-19. This change is significant because it introduces new legal responsibilities for employers regarding any vaccine they require, potentially affecting workplace policies and employee rights on a larger scale.
